No Point Group Layer option in 2008

Even though the 2008 course ware is not out yet, grrrrrrr, I still have many clients that are just dying to be trained on the new product line. Using the 2007 course ware and pointing out the new features in 2008 I found some minor disturbing news.

In Civil 3D 2007 Point Group Properties dialog box you had the ability to put the point group on a specific layer (see image below)

For some STRANGE reason they have conveniently removed this functionality in the new 2008 version, much to my dismay (see image below)

Now it's not impossible to control your display using layers at this stage in the game. It just takes a little more planning and thought. You will have to set up your Point Style and Point Label Style to be on the correct layers.

Good luck!

One thing I am also wondering about is the Prefix database / layers. I know you made a post about 2007, but in 2008 it doesn't seem to be cooperating, any thoughts?
